Investing where climate impact meets disciplined returns.

Doing Good and doing well were never trade-offs. We lend to climate businesses too large for grants, too early for banks, and too capital-efficient for venture equity.

Returns and impact were never a trade-off. We just built the debt structure that proves it.

The gap

Grants, banks, and venture capital all miss the same business.

Too big for grants

A distributed solar project still needs capital after their grant runs out. And it needs a source that scales past one‑time gifts.

Too early for banks

A bank underwrites against three years of financials. Climate businesses raising their first round rarely have them, whatever the technology or contracts look like.

Too capital‑efficient for venture equity

Venture funds are built to chase 10x outcomes. A circular economy business with steady revenue doesn't fit that model, even when the business itself is sound.

How it works

Debt, structured to match the business.

We meet businesses at the point where capital is hardest to find. We offer impact‑first, flexible debt: senior secured loans, revenue‑based financing, mezzanine structures, and bridge financing.

Jeremy Snyder

Jeremy is a General Partner at Loam Capital, where he brings a track record of leading impact-first investment decisions grounded in a deep understanding of global macroeconomic realities. During his tenure at Mercy Corps, he led impact investment fundraising, requiring him to read broader global economic trends and identify the environments where impact-first companies could actually thrive — not just survive.

That combination of macro fluency and mission-driven discipline continues to shape how he leads at Loam Capital: prioritizing impact as the starting point for smart, durable investment decisions rather than an afterthought to financial return

Damien is General Counsel at GreenKey Solar and a partner at Dunn Carney LLP, where a decade of practice has centered on getting clean energy projects built, financed, and monetized. He specializes in utility-scale renewable energy — advising solar developers across the Northwest on facility siting and shaping state-level rulemaking for utility-scale photovoltaic projects in Oregon and Washington — alongside growth company governance and public-private partnerships that bring environmental and infrastructure investments to life.

A USC and Lewis & Clark Law graduate, he pairs that clean energy expertise with civic leadership, including co-chairing Oregon's Housing Production Advisory Council and serving on CareOregon's Board of Directors.
